Despite claims to the contrary by the left-leaning website Politico, Democrat "resistance" is back with a vengeance. Where Politico uses the tamped down planned protests, and the tanking of viewership at CNN and MSNBC as empirical evidence of the resistance to Trump "tuning out," the conclusions the writer draws are as flawed as the polling that said Kamala Harris had a chance to win the presidential election. For a country wondering whether the return of Trump will drive an immediate return of the public fury and journalistic energy triggered by his first win, it makes for an early hint that the answer will be: Nope. On TV, after beating CNN on election night for the first time ever, MSNBC saw its audience plummet: In the six days after the election, Democrats’ favorite network tumbled from its 2024 prime time average by 36 percent. CNN was off by 19 percent. During the same period, Fox exceeded its typical 2024 number by 56 percent.
The piece speaks of Drudge's decreasing Trump headlines, liberal pundits leaving X, formerly known as Twitter, and the lack of plans for anti-Trump books, among other things, but seems to miss the other explanations for what they are being told by others. For example: The so-called resistance isn't "tuning out" of said resistance, as we are seeing more than a hundred groups organizing and mobilizing, but they have "tuned out" to liberal media that lied to them, over and over and over again, since 2015 when Trump announced his first candidacy. Skipping past the Russian Collusion Hoax, and the other hundred+ examples of fake news stories during Trump's first term, because the far left media viewers stuck with groups like CNN and MSNBC through all that, it is likely that the liberals leaving those news groups in waves is due to the more recent gaslighting before the election. • The skewed polls attempting to make Americans think Harris had a chance. • The constant misrepresentations of Trump's words and plans. • The claims that Biden was at the top of his game, which was thoroughly once the truth was seen by millions during the presidential debate. • Then the claims that the MSM didn't know how bad Biden's mental acuity was until then. Those reasons, and so many more all contributed to the death knell for the liberal mainstream media. Even with all that, some will tune right back in so they can hear what they so desperately want to hear...that Trump is "Hitler" and a Nazi wannabe. Even now at this moment, the claim by Politico about a lack of journalistic energy aka activism on the part of the media, is proven false by the hundreds of headlines decrying Trump's cabinet picks. The liberal media isn't tuning out, they were just waiting for their marching orders and talking points from Democrats. THE LIBERAL/ANTIFA RESISTANCE TO TRUMP IS BACK.... Fast Company reports "Trump resistance begins with over 100 progressive groups gathering Thursday," with a sub-header "Working Families Party, MoveOn, Indivisible, and other organizations are convening massive online meetings to strategize for Trump 2.0, beginning tomorrow."
The priority is to get moving, according to Ravi Mangla, the national press secretary for the WFP, which advocates for progressive priorities such as unionizing labor, funding public services, and combating racism. “We don’t have any interest in spending that postelection moment pointing fingers or assigning blame,” he says. “We’re ready to get to work to fight back, state by state, against the second round of Trumpism.”
What we haven't seen reported nearly as much as these groups, are the Antifa groups, and going by recent history, once they show up at any protest, violence is not far behind. According to Justice Report, one specific Antifa member has been exposed as a US Secret Service Agent, which doesn't bode well for Trump as President-Elect, or after his inauguration.
Thanks to publicly available information, counter-extremism researchers with the Justice Report can confidently name 30-year-old Thomas Jack “TJ” Hamil—an 1811 employee for the Department of Homeland Security—as a lifelong anarchist, left-wing extremist, and a devout follower of “Antifascist” shock jock Robert Evans.
ANP is working to verify those claims. Another example of what we expect to be a rerun of 2016-2020, comes from Seattle, where Antifa has already begun targeting the Seattle PD.

This followed Tuesday night's protest on Election Day when Antifa attempted to riot on Capitol Hill near the former CHAZ but was quickly shut down by Seattle police. SPD made five arrests for assault and obstruction.
